Background

Aurelia was born and raised in Northfield, Minnesota, home to St. Olaf and Carleton colleges.

Her theater experience began in elementary school as an actor in community theater; she went on to attend theater camp for ten summers.

Aurelia's fascination with technical theater began her freshman year of high school with Arsenic and Old Lace; she ran sound and got her first peek into theater behind the curtain.

She fell in love with stage management and lighting design in her sophomore year during Something Rotten. Originally the ASM, her leadership and reliability led to her being promoted to SM by week 3.

Aurelia is currently in her senior year at Northfield High School.

Artist Statment

As an artist, I am someone who sees the world for what it is and what it could be. I want my art to prompt people to think critically about what they know about the world and how they can view it from different perspectives. I believe that art is used to connect people and ideas that can't always be understood without visual concepts, conveying emotions on stage through words. Theater is the way the world makes the most sense to me. Storytelling has existed for thousands of years, preserving what it was like to live at that moment in time.
